Affirm: The USA’s Covenant With God

1) Pray and welcome God to the USA

Would you like to strengthen your home and our nation today? It can be done. The Bible shows us King Asa did it just by calling the people to affirm their covenant with God (2 Chronicles 15). King Josiah found God’s Word and made covenant with God (2 Kings 23). Granted, this will have to be done one heart and one church at a time. Are you, your home and your church ready?

You can pray the USA’s Covenant with God now. Just pray:

Father, as Your Christian nation, we affirm our covenant:

You, the LORD, are the God of the USA and we are Your people. We love You with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. Jesus is our King. We obey what You say in the Holy Bible.

We love one another as Jesus loved us.

In Jesus’ name. Amen. (Psalm 33:12, Mark 12:30, John 13:34, 2Chronicles 15)

Jesus said to love God and to love one another are the two greatest commands (Mark 12:30, John 13:34). Our homes and nation will be strengthened in direct proportion to our living these two commands.

Our founding fathers lived with Jesus as King of the USA. Will you ask Jesus to be King of the USA? Welcoming Jesus as King is part of seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness for the USA.

“We do hereby dedicate this Land, and ourselves, to reach the People within these shores with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to raise up Godly generations after us, and with these generations take the Kingdom of God to all the earth. May this Covenant of Dedication remain to all generations, as long as this earth remains… May all who see this Cross, remember what we have done here, and may those who come here to inhabit join us in this Covenant…”  Jamestown Settlers Covenant Dedication, 1607

“Having undertaken, for the Glory of God, and advancements of the Christian faith…” Mayflower Compact, 1620

We are entered into covenant with Him for this work, we have taken out a commission, the Lord hath given us leave to draw our own articles we have professed to enterprise these actions upon these and these ends, we have hereupon besought Him of favor and blessing. Now if the Lord shall please to hear us, and bring us in peace to the place we desire, then hath He ratified this covenant and sealed our commission, [and] will expect a strict performance of the articles contained in it, but if we shall neglect the observations of these articles which are the ends we have propounded, and dissembling with our God, shall fall to embrace this present world and prosecute our carnal intentions seeking great things for ourselves and our posterity, the Lord will surely break out in wrath against us, be revenged of such a perjured people, and make us know the price of the breach of such a covenant.” Puritans, John Winthrop

The first act of Congress is for Georeg Washington, John Adams, John Jat and our Founding Fathers to read the Holy Bible and pray in Jesus’ name as they sought the LORD for the USA.

“No King But King Jesus” American Revolution Motto

”The year of our Lord.” USA Constitution

“… is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers.” John Jay, First Chief Justice, USA Superme Court

”To the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian.” George Washington

“in the year of our Lord Christ” Tomas Jefferson, one of his Presidential signatures

“[The Holy Bible] is the rock on which our Republic rests” Andrew Jackson

“Whereas, the Senate of the United States, devoutly recognizing the Supreme Authority and just Government of Almighty God, in all the affairs of men and of nations, has, by a resolution, requested the President to designate and set apart a day for National prayer and humiliation. And whereas it is the duty of nations as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth, announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord. And, insomuch as we know that, by His divine law, nations like individuals are subjected to punishments and chastisements in this world, may we not justly fear that the awful calamity of civil war, which now desolates the land, may be but a punishment, inflicted upon us, for our presumptuous sins, to the needful end of our national reformation as a whole People?” Abraham Lincoln

“This is a Christian nation.” USA Supreme Court

“Christianity is part of the common law” USA Supreme Court, endorsing a PA Supreme Court Case

”In God We Trust” National Motto

As it was with our founding fathers, turning to Jesus is the Answer today. Christianity is the unifying majority of the USA. Approximately 80% of Americans believes Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to earth and died for our sins. The USA is a Christian nation. In contrast, we divide our nation by emphasizing the Republicans (~33%) and Democrats (~33%).

God’s blessing, protection and prosperity come from this covenant. As the USA has seen, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Psalm 33:12). Pray now.

    America Needs God!

    America is being destroyed from
    perversion within.
    As it’s people indulge
    in wickeness and sin.

The moral fabric that our country
    once held so dear.
    Is now beginning to dissappear.

    Many judges seek to remove
    God from our land.
    Traditional marriage… they don’t understand.

    From the neighbor’s house
    to the college dorms,
Perversion is legal in so many forms.

Our money reads: “in God we trust.”
    Many are addicted to
    perversion and lust.

    Nothing of God seems to
    be sacred anymore.
    While his judgement draws
    close to our nation’s door.

    This so called “freedom” that
    many have “enjoyed,”
    Is causing our great country
    to be destroyed.

America must heed the Savior’s call,
Only God can give true freedom to all.

    HIS word is our country’s
    true foundation.
    Without him in our lives…
    we’re doomed as a nation!
