What is God’s State of the Union?
What does God want to tell Americans? Pastor Steven Andrew answers these timely questions to give Americans God’s hope. He is president of USA Christian Ministries and author of “Making A Strong Christian Nation”.
“To understand God’s State of the Union we must look to Jesus Christ. Jesus loves Americans,” he says. “Look to Jesus on the cross. Look at the blood that cleanses us from all sins. The same power of Jesus’ blood that cleanses our sin, forgives the USA for our sins (1 John 1:7).”
He explains how the USA is a covenant Christian nation “to all generations” sharing from the Jamestown Settlers’ covenant and the Mayflower Compact. The first act of Congress was for George Washington, John Adams and our Founding Fathers to pray in Jesus’ name and read the Holy Bible.
The main message is: “Do you remember Jesus told the woman caught in adultery ‘Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more?’ God wants to show mercy to the USA. He tells us that He does not condemn us, but that we are to go and sin no more.”
“What kind of a God is this who is willing to forgive: a lukewarm church; a nation that has been taking God out of government, schools and courts; 53-plus million abortions, sexual and homosexual sins; Christians voting for ungodly people; and foreign gods? Can you imagine a love so great?” he says.
The Holy Bible teaches that obeying God is important because all of God’s blessings like the economy, our freedom, national security come by obedience to God’s Word. But disobeying God causes the USA to go in debt nationally, lose our freedoms and have national security weakened (Galatians 6:7, Deuteronomy 28, Leviticus 26).
“What I hope to accomplish is that Christians across the USA would unite as a family and come to God asking for mercy by Jesus’ blood so our sins can be forgiven,” pastor Steven Andrew says. ”By asking God for mercy, God can bless America. Everything else is going to fail. All the politicians will fail who ignore God.”
Continuing he explains, “We have always been a Christian nation. We will always be a Christian nation because we are a covenant Christian nation.” The Jamestown Settlers 1607 covenant dedication is:
“We do hereby dedicate this Land, and ourselves, to reach the People within these shores with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to raise up Godly generations after us, and with these generations take the Kingdom of God to all the earth. May this Covenant of Dedication remain to all generations, as long as this earth remains… May all who see this Cross, remember what we have done here, and may those who come here to inhabit join us in this Covenant…” – Jamestown Settlers Covenant Dedication, 1607.

God’s State of the Union ends with a prayer affirming the USA’s Covenant with God:
As Your Christian nation, we affirm our covenant:
You, the LORD, are the God of the USA and we are Your people. We love You with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. Jesus is our King. We obey what You say in the Holy Bible.
We love one another as Jesus loved us. We ask You to forgive our sins by Jesus’ sacrifice.
In Jesus’ name. Amen. (Psalm 33:12, Mark 12:30, John 13:34, 2Chronicles 15:12)
A second prayer to help people in need is prayed at the end of God’s State of the Union.
USA Christian Ministries is uniting the USA in Christ, leading the nation to repentance and making God-fearing governments (Exodus 18:21). Pastor Steven Andrew plans to organize 1000 pastors to pastor the USA. He left a high paying consulting job because God called him to strengthen the church. He is raising funds to buy TV time and to expand. He sends a daily email that Christians can sign up for at www.usachristianministries.com.
